Meet the faces of advanced recycling: Natalie Martinez
As a 20-year veteran at ExxonMobil, Natalie Martinez has played a crucial role in our efforts to scale up advanced recycling.
Natalie is on the leading edge of new development, specifically in a space called advanced recycling. She is responsible for sourcing plastic that is seemingly at the end of its lifecycle and, instead of going to landfill, incineration or end up as litter, helping transform it into new, valuable products that can be used every day.
She has helped develop supply chains and infrastructure to transport the materials in recycling bins to ExxonMobil’s advanced recycling facility, helping ExxonMobil’s plans to reach a worldwide advanced recycling capacity of one billion pounds per year by year-end 2026.
Hear from Natalie on her very important role helping to make that happen:
“Essentially, I’m helping develop supply chains and infrastructure to make that easier – to make sure that the plastic we throw in the recycling bin can be remade into new valuable products we use every day.”

Natalie has attributed her role at ExxonMobil and her passion for advanced recycling with her desire to make the world a better place for her daughter and the next generation.
