Positioning Southeast Texas as a Leader in a Lower Carbon Future
Since 1903, ExxonMobil has played a critical role in supporting the needs of our nation and world – and in Southeast Texas, ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solutions business is building on that legacy to spur job growth across the region. Through our latest carbon capture and storage project in Jefferson County, we’re helping position Southeast Texas as a leader in a lower carbon future.
The Rose Carbon Capture and Storage project is a significant investment that will provide an opportunity to help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from industrial sources in the area that are critical to powering our modern-day life. In addition, the Southeast Texas region could also see ~$3 billion in investments, protecting and creating industrial jobs in the Lone Star State.
